Portland House Spring Opening -2017

Visit Portland House, Belle Vue Road, Weymouth DT4 8RZ for a special look inside this fascinating 1930s Art Deco holiday villa, not usually open to the public.

Friday 5th May (2 pm – 5 pm); Saturday 6th May (11 am – 5 pm), Sunday 7th May (11am – 4pm)

New for 2017 - talks and tours of the kitchen garden - Kingston Lacy

Dates: 39 dates between 16 June 2017 and 8 September 2017. The tour will explore the original plans and buildings and follow the highs and lows of the garden including the plans for restoration work. You will be shown the vegetable beds, fruit cages, orchard, ornamental flower borders and glasshouses, before finishing up in the orchid house.

Kingston Lacy house tickets - Kingston Lacy

Dates: 960 dates between 28 May 2017 and 31 August 2017. Tickets to visit the house at Kingston Lacy are very popular. Both members and non-members must have a timed house ticket to enter the house. Please pre-book your tickets at least 24 hours before the day you wish to visit. Entry to the house is in 30 minute time slots and you can access anytime within your designated slot. Please bring a printed or mobile version of your ticket to show to the welcome hosts in the entrance hall of the house.

Guided garden walks - Kingston Lacy

Dates: 212 dates between 28 May 2017 and 10 September 2017. The walks take place at 11.30am and 1.30pm, additional tour times may be available (please see board in the Rose Garden).The walks will visit the formal gardens before taking a number of routes through the garden, exploring seasonal highlights and how the Bankes family created the gardens we see today. You will learn about how the gardens are now cared for an depending on the tour you may have the opportunity to visit the Japanese Garden, including special entry into the Tea Garden.

Trust10 - Studland Bay

Dates: 5 dates between 28 May 2017 and 26 November 2017. With a bit of running under your belt you'll be used to planning your own runs so we've waymarked and signed this route for event on the 4th Sunday of the month (except July and Aug) so you don't have to rely on marshals to get you round but they'll be there to provide some extra motivation at points.
