Date(s) - 16 July, 2019
In the morning we will visit The Donkey Sanctuary which is home to many rescued donkeys and an equine hospital, as well as being an organisation which has clinics in many countries promoting working donkey welfare. It also has centres in the UK where disabled children can learn to ride and interact with donkeys. There is now a good café on site where members can have lunch before going on to Sand House.
After lunch we will visit Sand, a privately owned Elizabethan house which has been inhabited by the same family for 500 years. We shall have a tour of the house and adjacent mediaeval hall house, and after tea and cake (included) we will be able to explore the beautiful gardens.
