10:00 am - 1:00 pm
At the talk on 12th February entitled “Food for Free: Foraging for Wild Food”, James Feaver of The English Truffle Company offered to take a group of us foraging in the local countryside, to be followed by an opportunity to sample foraging finds.
Meeting at Toller Porcorum, James will lead the wild foraging walk looking for spring greens, herbs, edible flowers and spring fungi while discussing safety, sustainability and the law. The walk will be just over half a mile in length and will include some slopes, steps and a small number of stiles. The group will walk at a relatively slow pace, therefore kindly ensure you are suitably dressed with warm clothing (and waterproofs, if necessary) as well as walking or wellington boots. Please bring clean footwear to wear in the village hall.
The light lunch will be wild-food based and suitable for vegetarians. If you have any special dietary requirements, please list these on the booking form.
Full meeting details will be provided on receipt of your booking form.
